Dear Friends, It is with a sad heart that I share with you this morning that at 6:30 a.m., Frances quietly passed into God’s hands. Our sweet angel, although Jewish, loved the Christmas holiday and all the songs that brought people together. Her passing on Christmas Eve day will forever have a special meaning for me: her exuberance for life and her joy at seeing the world decorated in angels, her favorite symbol of hope. I extend my deepest condolences to her family and family of friends who cherished this amazing, talented and spirited lady. Our Frances will be sorely missed. We will be connected forever by our love for Frances; each one of us has been touched and moved by her magnificent being. My love, Cheryl
Dear Friends, Thank you for your continued comments and prayers for Frances. Her dear friends, Vardit Duse, Hagai and Jinah Kamil, and Michael Davis are with her for many many hours each day. Vardit reports that Frances is on morphine which keeps the pain at bay. Although Frances is no longer eating, she wakes every so often to let Vardit know she is aware of her presence. Frances’ Rabbi has been to see her and no plans for her passing have been made. As a matter of fact, Frances’ outlook is that she can recover from this and will NOT talk about death! We can all pray for a miracle during this holiday season, surely she is deserving, our sweet voiced angel. My love, Cheryl
Frances is now back in the United States, suffering from a long battle with ovarian cancer, first diagnosed in 2007, which spread to her spine and now her brain. She currently resides at the Hebrew Home in Riverdale, NY. If you would like to leave a message for Frances, what she has meant to you or words of encouragement, please use this blog. I will make sure she hears your comments. With love, Cheryl (friend and web administrator)
